Product Liability

Many medical devices do not function as advertised. Numerous product recalls have affected different types of medical devices in recent years, including hip implants, defibrillators, knee replacements, and more. Medical devices that fail often require revision surgeries. Revision surgeries are needed to correct the problems with the devices or to replace the faulty device completely. Revision surgeries can be intrusive and painful, requiring as much if not more recovery time than the original surgery. Some medical device failures can lead to more serious problems than the need for revision surgery.

Patients who suffered an injury or required a revision surgery due to a recalled or faulty medical device may be able to claim compensation from the medical device's manufacturer. Medical device litigation is notoriously difficult for many law firms to pursue due to the deep pockets of medical device manufacturers. Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin and Mendoza, however, continues to pursue medical device litigation, and at no out of pocket expense to our clients.
