United States immigration authorities may deny an individual's application for immigration benefits if the applicant is deemed as inadmissible to the United States due to prior legal violations or administrative decisions entered against them. A waiver of inadmissibility, however, may be available to the applicant, depending on the type of visa for which they are applying and the charges against the applicant.
