S "Snitch" Visa
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
The S visa, also known as the "Snitch" visa, may be available to individuals who have reliable information regarding a criminal organization or enterprise and are willing to assist United States law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes. The S visa is limited to a three (3) year period and does not permit any extensions. Family members, including spouses, children and parents may receive derivative S nonimmigrant visas. Adjustment of status to permanent residence may be possible.
