Green Card through Investment EB5
Fifth preference investor category is available to immigrants who make large investments and are limited to 10,000 visas a year. The applicant must invest $1 million and create at least ten new jobs, or invest $500,000 in a business located in a rural area or an urban area with high unemployment.
The Immigrant Investor Pilot Program allows for applicants to make qualifying investments in commercial enterprises in designated regional centers. This program does not require the hire of ten new employees. Qualifying employees may include persons who provide services, or jobs that have been created indirectly by the investment in the new commercial enterprise. This preference category is exempt from the labor certification requirement.
Business Investment Visa
E visas allow individuals to come to the United States for an indefinite period of time under a reciprocal treaty of commerce and navigation between the United States and the country of nationality. The E-2 visa, or treaty investor visa, must be developing or directing an enterprise in which he or she has invested a substantial amount of capital.
The E-2 visas may be granted for a period of up to five (5) years and may be extended during the validity of the visa. Spouses of E visa holders may obtain work authorization.
